Where can I buy Smart Tile?

I saw a project of a fireplace surround made with Smart Tile. Does anyone know who males it or sells Smart Tile? Evidently it can be cut with scissors or a razor blade and glued on or has a sticky backing.

  • Your local HD store should carry this product. But you need to know, only the backing can be cut using scissors. The tile still needs to be cut using a tile saw or cutter. Its a pretty good product, expensive but nice. Good for smaller projects such as back splashes. But I would steer clear of it for floors and wet areas. it is basically double stick tape that has tile on one side. You peel the backing off and apply the tile. Once on, you grout and seal.

Funny...I was just researching the cost of these tiles. NOT CHEAP! http://www.homedepot.com/b/Smart-Tiles/N-5yc1vZ3wr
  • Your right it is expensive. But price point is fine if your just doing a small backsplash when you figure in the cost of all the other steps and time needed to prep small area. But way out of line to do a large surface.

I had priced them on Wayfair.com, and wasn't happy with the shipping price (one of the few things that would not be free shipping from them). I had them in my cart, and removed them. A few days later, they had a special sale (that only lasts a few hours), and I got them ridiculously cheap. Also shipping was very low suddenly. They arrived within 2 days.

Home Depot carries smart tile on their web site. You can order it there, shipped to your home or the store. It is expensive though! Almost nine dollars a square foot!
