Painting and Reuphostering Chairs for Dining Room

I have to admit, I visit the Habitat Restore as often as I can. I'm blessed with being within a half hour from one, and there's another just 45 minutes away! I found this beautiful chair there - two of them - and knew they'd fit in beautifully with the new look to our dining room. They just needed a little paint love and new fabric.
In this corner I have one of the newly transformed chairs - a candlestand transformed with a creamware platter - topped with a planter filled with dried lavender and a beautiful tall lantern
I placed the two newly painted chairs along each side of the china cabinet - which was my first Criagslist find! The china cabinet received a layered paint treatment giving it patina.
The fabric I used was a Goodwill find. At first I didn't see it fitting into this room. I actually passed it up at first! Thankfully, when I returned to Goodwill the fabric was still there - lesson learned! If you like it, get it!
Anne Sloan Old White is the perfect soft white for these chairs - which compliments the creamy white of the trim in the dining room
This chair was red. It just stood out too much - I wanted a serene color scheme. This blue is quite brilliant, but it does bring out the dark blue in the curtains and pillows. I also changed the fabric adding a beautiful blue Toile.
The blue chairs draw your eyes to the blue in the curtains
The remainder of the chairs in the dining room were also changed with the same fabric as the two new/old chairs. I like how this fabric adds soft light to the room.
