Decorating an Entryway

Since we are renting our current house, painting the walls isn't something we really want to invest our time and money into. I have so much blank wall space to cover but I wanted to start with the entryway since that is the first impression our home gives guests.
I used a collection of items that we already had and created a few quick crafts to create my Entryway Gallery wall.
Looking at the staircase from the dining room I can see a combination of family photos, mementos, craft projects, and photos from our travels.
The oval mirror was the start of the gallery and I decided to use ribbon to give it more height and start to fill in the space above it.

From there I added a collection of mostly black and gold items to the two adjoining walls. It made a huge impact!
I keep the table clear so that I can use it as a staging area and drop zone.

I also found the BEST lampshade for the table after searching for months.
