Bamboo Coastal Candleholders

Today I’m sharing some fun bamboo coastal candleholders I made for our patio and living room. I love these and have used them for our tiki luau party that I had for my husbands birthday in our backyard patio and also in my living room after because they look so pretty.
If you have been following along you know I had been planning my hubs 50th birthday party for August and it was luau themed in our backyard.
I wanted to create a center piece that was tiki inspired, but on a budget of course. I made these for $1.00 each and LOVE them.
Can you believe they only cost me $1.00 and a little time? lol.
I love them in my beachy coastal tray and also with some shells around them.
I found these vases at the Dollar Store and bought 8 of them.
If you remember I bought this Reed Fencing at Home Depot and gave our Tiki Bar a makeover with it here. Well I had some left over and I just cut it up into varying size pieces.
I used Mod Podge I had and just sat down and took my time.
I used a sponge brush and applied the Mod Podge in sections. Then I just placed the reeds onto the glued area and applied more on top. It dries clear and is so fabulous to work with. Sticky but fabulous, lol.
When I was done it looked like this and you can see here that you can see all that glue but when you walk away and come back a couple hours later it looks beautiful.
See lots of glue. Just take your time and apply some coats over top too. If you get it on the glass you can go back and wipe it off with some Windex and paper towels too.
I got white candles at the Dollar Store too and love the light that flickers through and bounces around through the bamboo like reeds. So I made 8 of these for $1 each and bought 8 candles for $1 each too. $18 total for the look.
Come on over to the blog to see the full step by step tutorial.

I also used these candle holders on our Baby It's Cold Outside Mantel and I love the rustic mixed with the white. It glows and is so pretty in our home.
Want to see more about the 50th party where I’m going to use these?

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day, Lisa

Labor intensive. was so worth the time and effort! 8 was the magic number for a fantastic display.

I have bamboo out in the backyard I routinely harvest for projects but seldom come up with a use for smalls, this is a keeper idea.
