Using Mason Jars to Organize Your Cookie/Cupcake Sprinkles

I love to bake!! Do you? But, with each new cupcake, cookie or cake recipe I prepared, I added a new container of sprinkles to my collection. My drawers were over-flowing with various container sizes. Much of the time I repeated my purchases as I didn't know what I already owned.
Sprinkle Container Mess!!
Mason Jars are everywhere. What I like about them is that they are available in a multitude of sizes and shapes and even in different colors. I decided to purchase 3 dozen jars in different shapes to hold varying left-over sprinkle quantities. And, by doing so, I was able to organize one of my kitchen shelves into pretty rainbows of sprinkles.

Love the Beautiful Colors!
Utilize Large & Small Jars!
Now, I can see exactly what I already own and it saves me needless duplicate purchases in the baking aisle at the grocery store. Also, I am inspired to create based upon my current amounts for each season, holiday or event.

Love this idea! I started using small spice jars my mom had collected over the years but found that they were too small for some of the sprinkle containers I bought. Where did you find the jars in so many sizes? I love the smallest mason jars you have there and have never seen any of those. Did you order online?
    • @Darlene My local grocery store and Target. Take a look at the amounts of sprinkles you already have first. If it's a color you may use frequently, i.e. red for so many holidays, place into a large jar so there's room to add to it. Thanks!

Just reading thru this post I have decided that it is a very slippery slope between sprinkles and glitter. Londa, step away from the sprinkles, there is easier ways to get colour in your life. :) Happy New Year everybody and Happy Sprinkling.
