Breathtaking Views in Seattle Waterfront Kitchen Makeover

When our client's great grandparents settled on their waterfront property near Seattle nearly 100 years ago, the state highway was still a dirt road and the neighborhood did not yet include names like the Nordstrom family, or Bill and Melinda Gates. In fact, it would be decades before the area became known as the ‘secret Hamptons of the Pacific Northwest.’ Of course, the area has grown over the past century, but the scenic property has stayed in our client's family. The original home was lost to a fire, and the family rebuilt on the site in the 1970s.
The plans devised by the homeowner called to open the space, with new windows to showcase the view. The homeowner worked with CliqStudios.com designer Jilda Mastery online and over the phone to arrive at a kitchen layout to fit the new open floor plan.
That 1970’s-era kitchen layout, shown in the 'before' picture, was dark and closed, obscuring the incredible landscape and views of Seattle’s Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains.
A large stainless steel hood over a modern chef's table cooktop is the epicenter for gathering, featuring white quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and the Dayton Cherry Russet cabinet door style from CliqStudios. The result is simply stunning.

A large panoramic window over the sink required the CliqStudios.com designer, Jilda, to work with the homeowners and local contractor to relocate the storage that would have gone into the upper wall cabinets over to the expansive center island.
