Painted Subfloors: What do you think?

I've seen tons of tutorials, blog posts, etc. on painted subfloors. I'd love to do this. Yes with all the right steps: sand, clean, prime, paint, seal. Wondering though how well you all think this will hold up to feet traffic from 3 dogs. ;-) If you've got a painted floor and dogs, I'd love to hear from you. (Naysayers need not respond....haha!) Here's an example of a painted floor I love.

What's to lose? The worst that can happen is that you have to lay flooring over top. In the meantime, it frees up some $ for another project..
