Bookcase Update
I bought these shelves from IKEA when i moved into my new house. I put them together, added the backing and HATED them.
So I took off the backing, marked the wall and added wallpaper right onto the wall behind them. Of course the shelves are directly attached to the wall.
I LOVE how it looks now. And it was so simple!

You can't do that that way...it's cheating! To get something this pretty you need to have to struggle! I almost fell off my chair laughing when I saw that the "pretty" was attached to the wall! You are one smart cookie! Beautiful...I love it too! But please set something like a red vase or orb 2nd shelf down, third cubby from the left! You rock!

Ha! Thanks. I thought of doing the backing but realized as soon as I got it wet, it would be destroyed so the wall was the most obvious step. :)
