How can I kill and control spiders in the home?

  • There are a lot of small insect sprays that you can use to control spiders. However you need to determine why they are present to really stop them. Spiders simply do not set up shop anywhere. They require a few things to prosper. The most important thing is moisture. They do not drink they absorb dampness. They also start from the outside of the house and move in. So you need to do some research around the outside of the house. Is the gardening over grown? Or perhaps the lawn is right up to the foundation? What about a sprinkler system? Anywhere you will find moisture you will find bugs and spiders. This generally becomes the access area for them. Baths and kitchens are also a great place for them. With dampness from cooking and bathing you will find them there. But they always start from the outside so that is where you need to concentrate. There are several outside bug sprays that you can apply around the foundation of your home. These sprays will help keep them and other bugs from setting up shop around the inside of your home. Follow the directions carefully and apply at the suggested rate. Do not over do it as more is not better, only wasteful of the product and bad for the ecosystem. Then use a spray product around the base trims in the rooms where your seeing them. That should remove and kill them safely for you.
