Charming leather pouch and vials

Recently I purchased this little leather pouch that contains glass vials. I have no idea of the age, but it appears to be from around the 1920-30-40's (I'm guessing) based on the lids and snaps. It looks like it could have been used to gather samples of flora/fauna. Or maybe drugs. If you have any information about the age and what it was used for I'd love to hear from you!

Have never seen anything like this, but would guess as you for a herbalist or someone using something for medicinal use, a naturalist. Obviously handmade, not your usual physician's pouch. A treasure for sure.

    Give it some leather conditioner!

Probably one of a kind, handmade. Maybe by a shoemaker for a special use or need. Looks like it originally had 4 little bottles. Perhaps a country doctor used it for herbs. Remember they were much closer to holistic back in the day.

Thanks @Jane Goodwin @Diane Arnold and @Adrianne C it is really fragile, I may see if I can find some leather conditioner in a spray form. The little ties are falling off. It definitely looks handmade.
