From Dark & Dank to Amazing! Before, During, & After Bathroom Pics

I've been renovating Kraemer House, an 1870 Victorian Italianate, for about 8 years now. This bathroom was the second bathroom we tackled.
Older homes present a myriad of issues to overcome. For example, most rooms are small compared to newly constructed homes. But what we lacked in actual room size, we gained in ceiling height which gives this room an airy feel that makes it seem larger than it actually is.
The work begins!
We tiled the entire space to 8 feet using 15.5-inch by 4-inch ceramic tile. Then, we chose the details very carefully to augment that feeling including a glass surround shower, a sink with an open bottom, a custom mirror that is inset into the tiled wall, and a recessed lighted medicine cabinet.
The end result is a brighter, timeless space that, in my opinion, is just about perfect in every detail. My favorite feature in this bathroom? Two words: Heated floors!

Absolutely beautiful, I live in a 1830's home and have the old steam radiators too, which I love.
