Renovating a Kitchen Island

Saw this kitchen island for sale including the granite for $300. I saw the beauty in the piece; however my husband had to be talked into it. He was willing to spend between $1500 and $1800 when I convinced him I could bring back the beauty in this island! He was happy that I saved him some big $$$!! He loved the finished product!

This finished product only took me about 3 hours to do. I just needed the help of my husband and two adult sons to put on the granite. That was the toughest part because of the weight of the granite.
Painted it black and added nickel hardware.
