Looking for a post seen before on how to clean paint brushes that have been neglected.

You can try and soak them in rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. This is what I use

http://www.southernsavers.com/2013/03/quick-tip-revive-old-paintbrushes/ I found this on Pintrest and it has helped even in my art oil brushes and then to condition them, as they are horse hair, I do use some conditioner … it's horse conditioner, but they say you can use any good hair conditioner, just make sure your rinse them very well. Hope this helps.

Rub Murphy's Oil soap over them, lather well and rinse.
