How to tile a wall (the easy way)

If you've thought about adding a focal point to a room but weren't sure where to start, check out how easy it is to do a tile accent wall.

With so many fantastic options out there for materials, the sky is the limit. I suggest using mesh backed decorative tiles and Simple Mat's adhesive mats. These are basically mastic dots on a contact sheet. No more messy mastic or cement and no slipping down the wall. You just adhere the mats to the wall, add your tile, cutting as you go and then grout. Done!

Check out my tutorial:

"How to" for a backsplash can be seen here at:

Good luck!! Please check out my DIY blog for more easy and creative ideas for low cost home styling!

Tile accent wall. I did this working around and up to the tv mount since the television hides the edge around the mount.

I have been putting off my Betty Boop back splash, think this was the motivation I needed to start this project. Thanks for sharing
