Cover a Black Out Roller Shade With Fabric

I wanted to hang black out shades in my daughter's room, but I thought I should spice them up a bit. I ended up using fabric, ribbon and spray adhesive to cover them and the turned out great! The shades are still functional, they still go up and down, and they're fun and unique.
First, I cut the shades down go the width I needed. Some stores will do this for you.
Next, I unrolled my shade to about 4 inches longer than the window height they were being installed in and laid some fabric on top. I cut the fabric so that it was about an inch wider and longer than the roller shade.
I then glued my fabric onto the shade with fabric spray adhesive. I found doing about a foot at a time and smoothing the fabric as I went worked best.
After that, I flipped the shade over and turned the edges of the fabric over and spray glued them on. I did the sides, then the bottom.
Finally, I glued some ribbon to the bottom edge with Speed Sew glue for decoration.
I carefully re-rolled the shade up and mounted them inside my daughter's windows. I pulled them down and up a few times to get them going, and they work like a charm and they're adorable too!

If our use a light Weight fabric and spray adhesive for a shade that is in a very hot sunny window from May through September, will the spray adhesive still stick?

I did this on my bedroom blinds they initially looked great but in time fabric went baggy. So l used spray paint and a stencil directly onto the blind and it's great. Quick easy and cheap.
