How can one control nutgrass?

It is difficult to pull up. Will Roundup kill it? If not, what is the best means of control?

It's very difficult to control. In a test by NC State, the best control was achieved by using herbicides containing, imazapic, which is not available for use on residential lawns, or sulfentrazone, which is sold as Dismiss. Make sure to check the label to make sure it is safe for use on the type of turf you have. See: http://www.turffiles.ncsu.edu/weeds/Nutsedge_Yellow.aspx
