Breakfast room turned sunroom/keeping area

I made the decision to create a sunroom/keeping area in lieu of a breakfast room. The dining room, kitchen bar area, and kitchen island are very close in proximity, therefore, not needing the extra seating area. This area has worked very well for our needs.

What a great room...I too have what they call a grand room as kitchen opens to dining area and livingroom only separated by a bar...the small dining area was useless as it was too small we made this into a entry way into the house and I have moved my formal dining area to the livingroom, as the kitchen bar does work well for everyday eating and is the gathering area ..as most kitchens end up being.

Absolutely gorgeous. Our house sounds like a similiar setup. I may have to do this myself. Beautiful.

So smart to use your space like this! I would much rather hang in a sun room with some sweet tea and a book!! Very pretty and relaxing. :)

You want to refresh? Try changing out the curtains and pillow covers! Tho I feel that it is perfect the way it is.

Betty Jo....the window treatments will have to stay for a while...too much of an investment...but when I find the perfect fabric for the cushions, I may do that!

    Thanks so much!

    I love this.

I would love to do something like this in our kitchen. It's where we spend most of our time together. Might as well be comfortable.

I keep bringing this room up, just love it so much.......I have a dining room and we do not use it, in front of a huge window and off the livingroom, do u think it would b too close to do this .....we have a counter in kitchen, off this area w stools to eat at so do not need this dining set and all.......

Sharon...i know so many people who turn their unused dining rooms into rooms that serve a great purpose, such as a library or den...with three different eating areas being so close to the "designated" breakfast room, it just made sense for us to turn that room into something "purposeful"...
