I have old stockade posts - Any suggestions on how & what to use to seal them against dry rot and termites?

I want to use as retainers for a garden I've been creating against my stock aid fence. It has a slight slope and the plants could used better soil.

I have used some copper based products for treating wood...these are similar to what is used in commercial pressure treated wood
  • If these are the vertical posts that held up the old fence, they may already have been treated for rot and insects. If you pull them out of the ground, are they in good shape or decayed? If in good shape then you have nothing to worry about.

Thank you - I wanted to make sure it was ok -- I'll post when that area is completed.
