How do I get rid of this grass?

So this is jumping up all over my lawn and short of pulling each and every one, is there something that will kill it?

hard to tell from the pic but is it nutsedge? Google some images and get back to use so we can make a recommendation.

I have no idea what kind of grass I have. I bought this home last fall and do not know the history. It is not a pure bluebrass or a zoysia.

It's important to figure out what grass you have because some nutsedge products can be used on one grass and not on another. Your Choices are Image for Nutsedge, Sedgehammer and Nutsedge Ender. Read and follow label directions.
