Pond and garden

I have a pond and garden I have been slowly putting together and integrating some of my crafts into that I wanted to share . . .I have been doing a bit of mosaic work on various items - old bistro table and a umbrella garden table . . stepping stones and also the inside of one of my fountains . . .just wanted to pass on some ideas to others who share creative ideas

Thank you Miriam . . I keep experimenting with various "found objects" and am finding that with trial and error some really does work! I have started using the broken safety glass that comes from car windows and broken mirror in my projects as well on clay pots . .I will post some pictures of those soon!

Your stepping stones are gorgeous and I loved the birdbath. You have a real talent for finding "treasure" and turning it into garden beauty.

they are all really cool. I love the mailbox the most. I remember picking up the broken auto glass when we went car part shopping at the junk yard with my dad as a kid. Now I see that I really just needed to keep them and glue/grout them. I'm thinking a partial design for a backsplash.

MaryAnn D - there are many websites and books out that explain mosaic - for me it depends on what I am attaching stuff too. Tileset is usually used for doing tile work on flat surfaces - but can be very messy and the tiles slide around! Especially on walls n curved things . . . So sometimes I will use a fast drying epoxy or my handy glue gun! When I want a piece to fit just right I use my Dremmel to carve it into the desired shape or the tile clippers to break it down to size. Some people ...»
have a grinder table to do these jobs - especially if they are using glass. After you have everything in place . . then you use the desired color of grout to fill in the cracks n spaces around it all. There is a product on the market that I have heard about for attaching tiles etc that is a 2 sided sticky paper . . .I plan on trying that stuff out real soon!! I love doing this work and using old jewelry, glass, beads or anything that will work! Give it a try . . . have fun.

Very neat idea. Our city has recycled glass (crushed glass) all different colors mixed together. Bet I could find myself another project- On A Budget !!!
