Trophy Shelving

Shelving can be located on all four walls at the ceiling to display trophies, toys, or decorative items.
This was our solution for displaying miscellaneous items in our children's bedrooms a number of years ago. Outgrown, but treasured, toys, trophies, pinewood derby cars, etc. were visible and accessible when needed. (I don't think I have photos from those days.) However we have repeated the same process in a bedroom in our current house. We used round edged shelving and rested it on the top of doorway and window frames. Here we added a few decorative supports in places where there was no doorway or window frame. (In the previous house, we screwed an eye hook into the shelf board and attached a decorative hook above it in the ceiling. We used macrame cord to create an attractive link to connect the two hooks.)
A photo of the other area of this room in our current house. No further instructions are likely needed.

Fantastic! These can also be made deep enough to house small bins for storage! I have also seen where people have built to size wooden boxes, turned them on their sides and put them over doors inside bathrooms where there is never enough storage! People on HT are sooooo clever.

We did something similar in our kitchen in a previous house. Boxes that were covered to match the kitchen wallpaper were stored on the shelves. They held items that were seldom used and yet were easily accessible when needed. (I kept a note card handy with a diagram so I would know which box held what item!!!!! :)
