Annie Sloan Chalk Paint....I think - I will be doing this to the set that was mo mom's she bought it in the 80's...time to bring it into the new century!! I live the fact that it says no prep...that's my kind of paint!!
ASCP is Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It was originally from Europe- sort of the Swedish finish you see on their furniture- very matte and chalky looking. It is so easy to work with, no prep, but does require waxing to finish. It's known as "girl paint' due to the zero prep involved ; o)
What a pretty color - has a driftwood feel to it. With your woven chair, and I see a woven basket on the dresser, sea shell embellished picture frame - makes you feel like your're at the sea shore doesn't it?? Tell me, the one pillow pictured on the chair looks like maybe (?) the lawn chair strapping was used to accent it??? Looks really neat!
OK, Now . . . .please tell me what this "wax" is that everyone says is the final step when

using chalk paint. What kind of wax? I assume if Annie Sloan paint is being used then the wax is part of the kit or however it comes, but is it a paste or a liquid and can it be purchsed separate from the paint if you need more wax? I know it's purpose is a sealant but I guess the word WAX just kinda confuses me!! ;<(
Susan- It is a soft wax, hennets is good or AS makes a wax as well. They come in different shades, but also a clear wax. The pillow is jute webbing used for reupholstering : o )
