Add Some Organization to Your Laundry

The 2 Seasons
by The 2 Seasons
Now that summer is almost over, our lives are all kicking into high gear again. Having an organized home helps getting through our busy days a little easier. I came up with a very simple way to keep the laundry room more organized. All I did was use spray paint to color code the dirty clothes baskets.
We use four baskets for dirty clothes and keep them in our laundry room. One is for whites, one for darks, one for pastels, and one is for delicates.
I decided that I could spray paint one handle of each basket the color of the clothes that would go into it. It took just a few minutes and cost nothing since I used spray paint I already had on hand. For instance, this basket is for whites.
I sprayed medium blue paint on a handle of a basket used for pastels and medium colors. The dark clothes got a black handle, and I kept the handle of the basket for the delicates plain.
Now, it's easy to know which basket gets which clothes. This method would be a great way to teach children how to identify colors and how to sort their dirty clothes.
