  • WE need some more information about the plug. There are two types of electrical connections to dryers. 1. the dryer is 110 volt or 2. the dryer is 220 volt. These differences alone will have different plug types. All dryers use a electrical connection. Those that use gas or propane use the 110 volt plug. This is simply needed to run the motor. The 220 volt units not only turn the motor, but supply the heat to dry the clothes. The 220 volt however will have still a few more options. the plugs tips and outlet will either be round shaped or shaped like a Y. Both can be 220 volt but each are for different types of use. I assume your dryer your wanting to install assuming its 220 volt has the Y shaped tips on the plug? You will need a electrical contractor to change the plug on the wall. I do have a question about the water hose to the dryer? Are you speaking about the vent hose? or do you have a steam dryer? Can you provide some more information about this? Perhaps a photo of the plug and outlet as well as the hose your talking about. This will help a lot in providing answers to your questions.

Not all dryers have the same plug end. You can find a replacement one that will fit the wall receptacle at the big box stores. You can also use the one off your old dryer and put it on the new dryer. Don't understand the water hose to the dryer question. Dryers do not have water hoses.
