Scrapbook Paper Walls

Easy
After turning two small rooms into a wonderful studio area, I was left with one wall that had been patched together with odd pieces of plywood and putty. It really should have been torn down and replaced with sheetrock. But in the spirit of using what we have I decided to cover the ugliness with some beautiful papers that I had.
The little patchwork wall that makes me happy
I used a variety of papers that I had on hand. Since I wasn't sure I would really like the way it looked, I decided to use plain old kids glue stick to apply it to the wall making removal easy if I really hated it. The sheets were 12x12. I did a little layout on the floor just to make sure that I had the light and the dark sheets mixed.
I did the first layer using full sheets. I just used my glue stick to draw a line around the edge of my paper and a big X in the middle and then slapped it on the wall. Then I added little bits here and there on top just to add interest.
I can just see this an evolving wall adding a printed quote here or a Chinese fortune there. So far, two years later, I've only had to grab the glue stick and glue a corner here and there. See the full post at the link below...
