Can I plant hens and chicks in the fall, or should I wait till Spring?

    Most hen and chicks are hardy to zone 3, so you could probably plant them in the fall and they would do fine. I will note, however, that the Central Ohio Cactus and Succulent Society has its annual sale in mid-April, so spring may be a better time.

    I live in Michigan and have planted many plants in the fall.

    I have planted in fall spring, and summer, just be sure for first few weeks they get a bit of water

    I plant them anytime except winter.

    Looks like I'm in the majority, I say plant them pretty much anytime except in winter and in California I plant them year round.
