Try using a color match app - all of the major paint companies have them. You just take a photo and then download it to the app- the paint company will ID the color and then offer complementary colors to choose from to complete the palette. So, I would try taking a photo of that little red chest, or the rug, or some other element in the room, then see what they offer as a color choice for the neutral to go with it.
Our problem was that we have those 36" height windows which does not let in much light...which in a way I love because they are also more private. Somehow a wall of glass does not appeal to me. But when we put in new windows, we had them extend the height of our double den window to 53"...it is FABULOUS!!!! I had the best window people EVER! I could not even tell they had worked on the place...even with cutting down brick and the inside wall...and then installing a new window with new molding!
But I would still pick the "Baked Scone" color by Bher!
