Open Shelving

I like to move furniture around in my home. About a year ago I repurposed an old bookshelf into an open shelving unit in my dining room. The back of the shelf was warped and coming loose so I removed the back completely and it instantly transformed it from a 'bookshelf look' to an 'open shelving' look. I was in love! I used it in the dining room till just a couple of months ago when I was once again moving furniture around, and it ended up in my kitchen. It is so handy to have my beautiful glassware in an easy-to-grab spot and to have it on display where I can see it. It makes me happy! http://www.sewafineseam.com/2012/06/open-she...

Love the numbered canisters! Great idea to remove the back of the cabinet to make an open shelving unit!
