My Old Country "Memory" Kitchen

My kitchen was inspired by a trip to Prague and my Czech heritage. It is a mix of bright and sunny yellow paint, souveniers, gothic elements and some things handed down over the years. I originally posted here:

I made 2 cork wreaths for 2 cabinet doors over the sink.
I had 2 french market baskets that I use at the bottom of my baker's rack.
(top) a dish my son made and Grandma's dishes on the wall. There are more on the other side of the window.
"You are my sunshine" in Czech above the sink.
I replaced all knobs on the cabinets and drawers with wine cork.
A framed photo of Prague Castle.
...the photo of the Bakery that we returned to...good!
Decorative boxes hold dish towels...napkins.
toys brought back from Prague.
more toys
hand soap and dish soap... I've since change to 'oil and vinegar' bottles for the soaps.
my dumpster table redone for the kitchen.
a French tablecloth I found at the thrift store for $1-2!

It is so nice to see you embracing your heritage. So much has been lost to us over the years. Must be a true blessing to be in your kitchen and home.

Thank you so much! I am loving bring out those things that were kept for special occasions and enjoying everyday. I am doing the same in the living room with family and beach photos and beachy treasures.
