What's the best way to clean the heating coils on an electric stove?

    I take mine outside near my hose and spray with no fumes EZ Off oven cleaner. Let it sit a while and spray off towards my weeded bottom chain link fence bottom. I get my soft scrubber and re-treat if a pan has boiled over. (if you don't have a hose, it works fine in the shower too!) No Fumes but I'd turn my overhead exhaust fan on just to be sure! best to you. hope it helps, JL

    (My Mother just soaks her's in the sink for a while in warm soapy water...)

    They can be removed and submerged and washed with soapy water. Just let them dry and reinstall. For a couple minutes they may burn off a fume.
