Mini MCM Makeover

To say I was excited to come across my first mid century modern piece of furniture is a HUGE understatement. I love their clean, simple lines and couldn't wait to get my hands on one.
I also love these pieces in the two toned look and knew that was the direction I wanted to go.
I started out by sanding down the drawers and taping off the handles. I used General Finishes gel stain for the first time and FELL. IN. LOVE. This stuff is phenom.
It's like a pudding consistency and doesn't splash all over the place like regular stain. It absorbed so well into the drawers and gave them such a rich color.
I painted the handles and outside white and then sealed the whole thing with a flat top coat.
So clean and crisp, I love it!
