This is our living room- we only have one tv area in our small cottage, so we make the most of it! We love a relaxed space with an industrial vibe : o )
Patricia, I'd love to see complete room photos instead of isolated features! Your Nichols & Stone Rocker is well on it's way to being a vintage collectors item. The original N&S Co. sadly went out of business a few years ago. If memory serves me correctly, another company bought them but the most of the manufacturing went "over seas" so it certainly is not the same as the original company. Hang on to your rocker - as it is valuable item!!
Well definitely hang on to the N&S pieces and don't mess w/the original finish. They were a very well-respected company out of New England, in their day. Initially family owned I think. I've been out of the furniture industry/sales for a couple of years so I'm a little rusty on the "inside" details!! LOL
EEEEEWWWWW - THANK YOU SO MUCH Patricia!! I appreciate your sharing your home with us!! You and your husband have done a wonderful job and he appears to be quite talented in carpentry too! Anytime y'all want to share we'll be glad to look!! ;~)
Feel free to steal away! We went to a fencing company to get the outdoor fence posts, then Home Depot for our drop cloths. Be sure to wash and iron them before hanging : o)
I didn't catch that either Becky. I think that was added w/more pics of their room after the initial posting.
Patricia, thank you so much for taking the time to add the additional room photos. You & your husband have done a beautiful job w/decorating and accessorizing and have been very resourseful in repurposing and using your imaginations!!
Well all of your ideas are fantastic. So many people are using drop cloths for window treatments, I think that's a fabulous idea and probably way less expensive that buying fabric. Did you use regular rod brackets to hold the rods?
Hmmmm.... it's been awhile since we've had a chain link fence, but I can't think of a part that would attach to the wall. Oh! Maybe the part where you attach the post to the house. I bet that's what you used. I'm hoping we need to go to HoDe tomorrow. If so I'm looking at the fence stuff. Not that we need new rods, but I have to show my hubby now.
Thanks for the pictures of the hardware. I recognize the part with the look as that's what holds the top rod to the fence posts, but the piece that's attaching that to the wall is foreign to me. I'll have to check HoDe, or Ls next time we're in Omaha. That's just an awesome reuse of materials.
I'm no seeing where you get the "industrial" part for your living room this and in the added pictures at the top of the cart coffee table.
