They all look like they are doing well--are they a vine tomatoe? And do you always leave them to grow in a pot/bucket?

They were just regular tomato plants. I bought yellow and red tomato plants. Onr has yellow small plumb shapped tomatoes and are sooooo good. I always plant in buckets as you can move them around and can put the best dirt for them to grow in. I always use timed release fertilizer. I like to put them where they can get morning sun and afternoon shade

How often do you have to water them?

With the over 100 degree weather that we have been having, I do it every morning. Normally, early spring just a cpuplr times a week, after that just every other day unless like now with the above average weather.

What kind of soil do you use? I used Miracle Grow Garden Soil and then read on the bag that it wasn't intended for containers, not sure why. My plants seem to be doing ok. Yours look great!

Amazing. We purchased several of those Topsy Turvy planters and had very little produce....in addition, they were very small tomatos.

I use Miracle grow potting soil with holes drilled in bottom for drainage Carol. Mary i tried the Topsy Turvy planters a couple of years ago but did not like them. Not many tomatoes either.

How smart to plant them on the chain link fence for extra plant support. You can tie them up instead of using the tomato frames.
