Doing the 'Refinishing Pine Floors' Dance

Once upon a hot summer day, we decided it would be a good idea to refinish our bedroom floor. It was crusty and painted. Somehow, we survived....but not before cha-chaing with the orbital plate sander, trying not to inhale too much in the way of hazardous refinishing chemicals, and learning that tack cloths are (wait for it) tacky.

    This is stunning! Great job! And I am sure during the process you felt that you had lost your mind to take on such a task! Now that it is done, you must be very proud of yourseves!

    I only have four weeks before school starts (August 1) but I SO want to do this for our living room! The carpet is old and threadbare in places...definitely time for a change. Thanks for the inspiration!
