Protecting wall from door knobs

Does anyone have a DIY solution to protecting a wall against a door knob that opens against the wall?

You can buy "stops" on your doors that have rubber tips that hit the baseboard and keeps the doorknob from getting to the wall.

I bought the 'stops' that you put on the middle hinge and you can adjust them to how far the door will open. I have one in the kitchen so the door won't hit the cabinet when door is fully open.

@Denise Powis Use a spring door stop. They make hard ones but if you bump that with your toe, you will learn a new dance step. The door hinge style works also , but if you have kids that tend to push the door hard, they can break or push cause the hinge to loosen up on the door or wall.
