Holiday Partridge Mirror

Susan Myers
by Susan Myers
I decided to revamp an old thrift store mirror with an original pattern of my own. I used metallic acrylic paints and a home made crackle technique to create a new piece of art.
This is the completed piece. It looks great in my hallway and is a definite conversation piece.
This is how the mirror started out. Only $3.93 at the thrift store!
I printed my pattern and after coloring charcoal onto the back of it, traced it onto the mirror.
I then began filling in the lines with metallic acrylic paint.
Here I added in the details.
And the final step was to use my home-made crackle technique on the frame! You can find all the details in my tutorial, along with the free pattern!
