Can Restore 4x Deck Coat be applied over oil based products?
Can Restore 4x Deck Coat be applied over Oil Based Products? I plan on starting this project in a week or so. I want to apply Clear Preserve first which is an oil based product. Will Restore 4x Deck Coat adhere or will it peel off?
If it will peel off, what can I coat the deck with as a primer to avoid peeling. I want this to last many many years, 12 + as they say it will. Please advise. Thanks!

@Kimber Otis-Kennedy I think you asked this question somewhere else. But no, not suggested. The restore products are a stain preservative that does not need any additional coatings under it. Besides you do not want to mix products or peeling may occur with the new finish. The trick to keep things a long time is to check yearly for beading water on the deck surface. If it beads up, your good. If it appears to be soaking in, its time for a new coat of sealer. Try to stick with same brands.
