There are several shopping strategies I use. I bought my stove, microwave and dishwasher all for the same price as the stove alone was listed in a local store. You can too.
Do the legwork yourself. Pick out and pick up your own items is another cost saving area.
Roll up your sleeves and get busy. What can you do yourself? Painting, light demo work, instaling flooring or faucets? Work with a contractor who will work with you.
