Upgraded Our Old Custom Built Coffee Table

We updated our old coffee table to match our new furniture.
When we moved into our new home we decided to update our football room with new furniture. But we wanted to keep the coffee table my husband build years ago from a throw rug --- YES an throw rug! (How he did that was he took the rug and framed it with wood and then he stained it and had a sheet of glass cut for the top and he used store bought legs.) But as you can see new entertainment center and the old coffee table don't match at all.
Plus as you can see the entertainment center has thick legs so we needed thicken the legs on the coffee table in order to have all the furniture look similar.
So we found candle stick holders at a department store and used them in place of the legs(center leg) on the new coffee table.
We found thick fat candle stick holders to raise up the coffee table.
Then my husband stained the coffee table to match the rest of the wood furniture. Here is the same coffee table updated.
Here is the updated coffee table and it matches the new end tables nicely too!
Now we can watch the football games in our new home with the wood furniture looking similar.

I LOVE THIS! We live in Minnesota (gasp!) and I take great pleasure putting out all my Packers Flags, outdoor stuff in front of my house and I especially like Christmas...all Green and Gold, BABY!!! I've been collecting Green Bay Packers ornaments for 13 years!
