Coffee bar ideas/suggestions?

To the left of the desk our kitchen starts, and to the right fireplace and sofa (living room).
This space has always been empty so thought of adding this table there but not sure of the color and just need feedback.
Should the table stay or go? What do you think?
This is before the table ....

Leave the table. It is the right size and does not crowd the space. However, place the wine rack on the table slightly off center to the left side Then add a small mirror on the right. A tray for keys, your purse or mail could go beneath the mirror...as could any combination of things you wanted there like a few wine glasses or candlesticks or different wine bottles.

Thanks Jeanette, but I don't have the space for the wine rack next to it. The table alone is the only space I have.

Leave it! It fills the space perfectly and I love coffee bars! Get some inspiration from this one @Brian & Kaylor did! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/kitchen-dining/kitchen-dining-furniture/diy-coffee-bar-buffet-dresser-4310262

Leave the table..it is PERFECT! To combine the two rooms smoothly, I would hang a scattering (in various sizes) of Black & white prints over the table, place an old doily on the table with an antique-ish coffee serving set. This will blend very smoothly between the two rooms without playing favor to either one. If you decide to paint the table, I would suggest using a medium grey and white 'push' of paint on the top. To do the push method is very easy. You simply paint the surface of the table white, and while still very wet, apply the medium grey all the way down the left side, grab a dry brush (or use your hand) and 'push' the gray into the white about half way across the table and let it fade out going to the right. This will pull color from the kitchen and balance back to the color from the living room. Good luck and remember to post photos!

Thank you for the suggestion on paint colors; because right now I think I'm struggling having it and be that color :) I will look into that process. The prints; you don't mean family pictures ? Sorry I'm really clueless with this spot because it's such a huge empty wall and space lol

@Nidia No I am not referring to family photos, although in black and white they would work, I am talking about black and whites that suit/please you eyes....foggy country lanes, trees at near night, things like that. Place a larger print about 2-2 1/2 foot above the table, then do scatter prints of various sizes around and out from the larger one. Kind of like this:

I would paint the wood part of the table to match your cabinets (hint of the kitchen decor in the pic is fab btw) (be sure to poly the top so clean up is easy and put a ceramic tile or wood trivet under the coffee pot to protect from thermal damage) and then get creative with maybe wood boxes on the wall for shelves or baskets hung from a re purposed towel bar for storage of different coffees/teas - maybe a frames old time add from coffee or something above and creative coffee/tea cup storage -- make it your mini cafe. I think a vintage feel with colors from the modern kitchen would tie into living room trim and wonderful Whatever you do..enjoy : )

I wish I had a picture of mine (I'm not at home or I'd take one). I turned an old end table, painted white, into my coffee bar. I added a plastic purple floral placemat on top, perfect for my PURPLE Keurig, hung some metal coffee cup related wall art, store cups underneath. In your case, I would consider something similar, subtle artwork related to coffee, maybe some hooks under for mugs or cups...and a pretty placemat under your coffee maker to protect your table and add your color to the area. Good luck!
