Garage Door Maintenance

Hi Everyone,

My neighbors were discussing garage door problems this past weekend so I decided to assemble a tutorial. If you're interested in how to keep your garage door safe and working efficiently check out the blog post by clicking here http://www.homerepairtutor.com/garage-door-m...

There's a blooper video in the post that my daughter helped make :)

It involves a pink Hello Kitty bike, baseball helmet, and me. You have to laugh at yourself every once in awhile. LOL.

Have a great 4th of July!!

Jeff

Love the pink bike video. And lots of good info in here, too.

LOL, thanks Steve. It was fun to make it with my daughter.

I hope all is well with your neck of the woods in CO.

I noticed in the bike video that the door appear to be dropping at a slight angle...this may be a camera angle thing...or more likely a spring balance issue...I did notice that your springs seem to have been tweaked in some of the pics.

BTW I wrote a whole series of articles on Garage doors

TY, that will be a huge help. We do have our garage door bounce back. my hubby put a small fan to part that operate the garage door as we thought it might be from hot to cause it bounce back. it works sometimes. And yes, it is old garage door.

Thanks KMS for the comment. You're right on both accounts, the camera was a bit off and I need to replace both springs on that door. T

Thanks for the nice link :)
