How do you use chalk paint over sprayed paint?

Closet doors spray painted with very bright pink that I want to tone down, or change, and then stencil over. Would chalk paint work?

I'd clean it with ammonia and water then use a higher number sand paper. It should work fine.

I would seal it first with laquer. If your use a pure color like AS pure Epwhere it will be hard to cover. Old white and colors that aren't pure pigment will cover easier.

According to everyone who uses chalk paint it adheres to any surface . So I would just try it on a small section and if it works all the better no extra work if it doesn't remove the paint from that area.

yes, you can.. I have a clock and and shelf I make using this technique, I spray, distress and then chalk...
