I had one of these ages ago as a kid when we put together a "jug band" with my brothers...washboard, gallon ceramic jug, and wash basin and broom stick.

I have not though of that in over 40 years

I just did a quick search on ebay...there are more out there than I thought

@KMS-good memories, huh! Never thought of e-bay. Still do my shopping the old-fashioned way, cold calls and alot of hoofing. Do need to update my thinking and get "on board" I suppose. I'll take a peek and see what I find. Thanks.

I used an old washboard for a door on an old wine box and use it for a medicine cabinet.I added a dowel for paper towels.

When I was redecorating my laundryroom, I decided to make corner cabinets to store my detergents and other laundry necessities in. I wanted to make the doors out of washboards. After looking and calling around, I finally located a hardware store (in the country) that had new washboards and purchased 2 there to make my doors out of. No one would ever believe washboards could be so hard to find!!
