Painting interior doors dark brown/black

What do you think about painting interior doors dark brown/black? I'm trying to add some architectural details to my 1979 fixer-upper house & love the way the dark doors look against my lighter wall color. What do you think? Like the trend or not?

I love the dark doors but I think a molding on the surface would have made them look more impressive...not to late!

My husband and I just finished our retirement home. We went with black doors. Honestly, the doors being a part of the whole, you don't notice them as much as you think. But, they somehow make such a subtle statement. I love our doors and they do require a regular dusting; but, oh, so worth it in our charming farmhouse!
