scalloped trim above kitchen sink

the scalloped trim could not be removed without taking down the crown moulding and doing a more invasive work than I wanted to. Also, behind the scalloped trim there is a flourescent light (that we will eventually change), but for now the trim hides that! I used smaller trim pieces (pic#1)
