A Southwest Florida Porch Redo!

Welcome to my newly decorated porch, The porch is very large big enough for a sofa area and also a dining area. Where we are we are very close to the Everglades so we have to have a good closed in area, the screens were redone, the terrible indoor/outdoor carpeting is gone, A dark cement stain was used, the carpet had been stuck down with a glue that kind of left swirls and texture so I cleaned it well and decided to leave it so that when the cement gets wet no one would take a tumble. I actually put the stain on the cement with a soft bristled broom and it worked great! I also took the white panel below the window and did a faux wood treatment. This porch is used all four seasons fans for hot summer and a fireplace for cool winters.
White roll up blinds lend in a little sun. A table is ready for breakfast , lunch or dinner. Wet swim suits ok, fisherman , no problem. Easy to clean! I bought a huge piece of this pretty upholstery material and made tops for all the furniture.
This old dresser is a family favorite and holds all my tools and do dads that I use out doors.
Wicker easy chairs are set around for lounging
This little guy was a gift from my daughter hes always there to greet you. It's allot better than the real family of bears that pop up from time to time.
The couch is covered for easy cleaning and a inexpensive "Ross" find is this bamboo carpet.
This old chair sits in a corner. Crisp white outdoor curtains hang and can be pulled shut for privacy.
This is the view from the left side
Bye bye old carpet!
An iron shelf unit is used opened up and lace curtains hung on each side
