I have vinyl plank flooring in one bathroom (LOVE it!) and sheet vinyl in my laundry room. I have found both easy to care for. My bathroom gets very little traffic so typically I just sweep or vacuum and then damp mop. However, my laundry room is a different story. High traffic = dirty floors. I recently started using a steam mop on it and I'm amazed how dirty the (reusable/washable) mop pads are. I try not to use vinegar on vinyl floors, because it will eventually stripthe sheen, or cause yellowing down the road, due to the acidity of vinegar. I do use vinegar and water for most of my other cleaning. (baseboards, window sills, etc.

I have them through my entire house..1900sqft...steam mop is the way to go.. Sterilizes and so easy to do. You will be amazed at how much dirt you get on the pad even after mopping.
