A garden of upcycled junk? You can have a gorgeous garden, full of color, by using almost all upcycled and found items. http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2012/12/le-top-ten-of-2012/ feature
Make a garden completely out of junk! You won't believe all the elements I used with found items and free to me leftovers.
A side patio made from 100% recycled materials. The outdoor wall is made of Garage Door Panels. The Buffet/Dresser is a former Changing Table. The Farm Table is redone with roadside planks. The table was free too!
This wall is made from Garage Door Panels! The decorative "B" was from an old cabinet door.
Using old Terra Cotta pots and Joint Compound, you can create your own chippy, aged pots that only get better each year. http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2013/06/the-great-junque-outdoors/
Check out the post to see how amazing these pots can look. Just use Joint Compound and paint to let these pots naturally age.
Use an old Changing Table as a buffet! The top flips out to provide service for outdoor dining. http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2012/06/more-junque-mentions/
My neighbor gave me her children's old changing table/dresser when she moved. The top folds down for the perfect buffet/serving area. I painted the dresser with 100% natural chalk and clay based CeCe Caldwell's paints
Jasmine lined pathway with old stones marks a whimsical pathway to my junk patio
The garden smells wonderful as I have climbing Jasmine marking the pathway to my side retreat.
Old Farm Table that was free to me gets a new look with reclaimed roadside found planks to top it off http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2012/03/roadkill-rescue-5-roadside-plank-topped-table/
This old Farm table was a free find after someone moved and left it. I painted it with leftover paint. The planks were found on the side of the road. They had been used to hold down a load on a truck. I cleaned them, cut them to size and secured them to the table. They were sealed with a Marine Grade Varathane.
Junk collected from road side finds makes it way into my garden to support vegetables growing instead of traditional garden supports. http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2013/05/trashy-wednesday-and-the-fun-continues/
Even my garden got the junk treatment. Junk picked up from the side of the road serves as trellises and supports for my climbing plants.
An old Wood Pallet and Terra Cotta pots make an instantly gorgeous hanging garden. Just add flowers! http://www.redouxinteriors.com/2012/03/redoux-is-in-country-living-magazine/
This vertical garden was featured in Country Living April 2012. I used leftover paint to paint the pallet. I secured it to a fence post. I hung the pots by using a ceramic drill bit and drilled holes in the top of each pot. Secured them to the pallet with screws and bolts.
