How do you make a wood floor that's damaged look new again?

My expensive wood floor has faded, peeled and chipped off in spots. I don't want to spend a lot of money.

I've used Rejuvenate with good success. It's available at Home Depot. http://www.rejuvenateproducts.com/

I'd contact the manufacture. It sounds like you have a claim if your floor isn't too old.
  • You did not tell us what type of wood floor it is that you have and what kind of damage. Is it a laminate floor? A solid floor? Age? Floating or nailed down? All of which will require many different types of repairs to fix.

I would be cautious with the rejuvenate. I had used this on my cabinets and was wowed with the shine. However, when I bought the product for floors for my bamboo wood flooring, it did shine like the cabinets; but, everything made a scrape show on the floor. Chairs, kids toys it didn't need much. When I had flooring guys come look, they told me that the product just laid on top, but did not have the ingredient to allow it to absorb into the wood. My only option was a sand and finish or replace. It cannot be taken off with any products, believe me I tried. I don't know if it varies with the type of wood or not. But I would suggest getting wood floor professional opinion before using. I just would hate for you to ruin what can be beautiful floor.
