Got Junk?

I had a lot of fun this past week potting up terracotta towers, recycling old rubber boots and creating living pallet walls. I've had a lot of people ask me how I made the dragonflies :) I'll post instructions this week in my Garden Junk Art series. See more junkie ideas @: http://www.sewanddipity.com/garden-junk-art...

I am going with broken hula hoops for the dragon fly wings, but the bodies? Guess I will be visiting your blog.

I caulked a large washer around the drainage hole in the bottom and inserted a bamboo stake. I supported the stake with a small plastic pot until it was set, then I added soil and slipped the second pot on to the bamboo stake and nestled it into the soil. The other two pots were threaded on to the stake to create a 'stack' of pots and then I cut off the extra at the top to hide the support. The weight of each pot holds it in place as well....voila' !
